In creating the design interior of the Indonesian Presidential Palace, there are five key principles guiding the design focusing on their deeper meaning.
First: Nusantara and Tropical
This emphasizes the integration of Indonesia’s diverse cultural heritage and tropical environment into the palace’s design, using traditional arts and sustainable materials to create an authentic and harmonious atmosphere. This principle is reflected in interiors that highlight the richness of Nusantara cultural aspects from various regions of Indonesia, including traditional carved ornaments, batik, and weaving, as well as the use of environmentally friendly natural materials to enhance the tropical atmosphere.
Second: The interior tells a story
Each space within the palace is designed to communicate the story of Indonesia’s cultural and natural heritage, fostering a sense of national pride and identity.
Third: Majestic and Dignified
The palace’s design is meant to convey a sense of national power, greatness, and honor, reflecting Indonesia’s position on the world stage.
Fourth: Appreciating the Past, Welcoming the Future
The design bridges the gap between tradition and modernity and highlights the importance of honoring Indonesia’s historical and cultural roots while embracing modernization and innovation.
Fifth: Sustainability
With a focus on environmental responsibility and longevity, ensuring that it remains a sustainable and timeless symbol of Indonesia. The blend of classic style and modern components reflects a commitment to both tradition and innovation, while also prioritizing sustainability.
