Bhavana, a 50-metre Phinisi ship, marks Trivium Design Group's first foray into watercraft interior design. Honouring the deeply rooted Indonesian tradition and craftsmanship behind the Phinisi itself, the interior features natural materials skillfully handcrafted into elegant, timeless pieces that exude warmth, with details sourced from across the archipelago's many regions.

Designing for a vessel in constant motion at sea presented a distinct challenge: every material, joinery detail, and fixture had to meet the rigorous demands of maritime safety, standing up to movement, humidity, and the unpredictability of open water without compromising on comfort or beauty. Every element was considered not only for its craftsmanship but for its resilience — secured, stable, and built to endure the rhythm of the waves.

Within these constraints, the design also reimagines how space is used onboard. Thoughtful spatial planning transforms the ship's inherently compact quarters into rooms that feel expansive, light-filled, and unhurried — proving that even within the disciplined footprint of a vessel at sea, there is room to breathe.
